How long does it take to get licensed?

Most people complete both licenses — Property & Casualty plus Life & Health — in 30 days or less using the recommended XCEL program. It's a manageable process, and we'll guide you through every step.

Will I need to invest my own money into marketing?

Yes. Like any business owner, you should expect to invest some of your own money into marketing and growth. There is no guaranteed lead handoff and no 'done-for-you' system. Farmers provides brand recognition, training, tools, and optional marketing and lead programs — but successful agency owners take ownership of their local marketing strategy. That may include referral-building, purchasing internet leads, direct mail, or community involvement. You'll receive guidance on what works, how to start responsibly, and how to track ROI. Marketing investment is part of building a real business asset — not an expense to avoid, but a lever to grow deliberately over time.
